This bird sang for me on a May day in Hungary.
I was strolling streets aimlessly in the spa town of Hévíz.
Any idea what kind of bird this is?

lovely micro moment. i think it’s a blackbird, they like to sit on high points of buildings and mark their territory there mornings and evenings. it’s “Amsel” in german, here’s a youtube click with its song – they vary their song all the time, but from the base pattern, you might recognize it: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ELlFOthB918
Thanks for the link. Although the tune is different, the voice does sound the same. So it’s most likely a blackbird, then–an “Amsel”.
